Tap firmly all around the edges of the cap with the handle of a table knife!. This will loosen it just enough to get it to turn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If you've got a small rubber mat, put it over the top before you twist, and it will give you a much better grip!.

Tap it from the bottom with your other hand; that usually does the trick!. You can also use a thick rubberband for a better grip!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try running it under the hot tap - usually the heat slightly expands the top and helps you loosen it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Run it under a hot tap for a few minutes
