Is plastic bottled water safe or should you stick to glass bottled water?!
Answers:
If you are bothered about a small thing like that you deserve to go thirsty, get a life and live dangerously for a changeWww@FoodAQ@Com
If you're buying store-bought bottles and drinking straight from them you're probably OK, it doesn't matter which type it is!.
If you're re-using plastic or glass bottles to store water in, that might be more iffy!. Glass is considered safer than plastic for water storage (fewer germs and carcinogens) but it's also more heavier and breakable, so it's inconvenient if you want to bring your bottled water around with you!.
I'd store my water in plastic bottles but wouldn't re-use the bottle for too long (maybe a week), nor store my water in the bottle for too long (maybe less than 24 hours)!. You shouldn't get the plastic hot either as that's supposed to cause chemicals to leak into your water!.
But even if you decide to go with glass bottles, remember that your water is only safe if you make it safe!. If you contaminate that water it's still going to be dangerous!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say plastic is fine but don't reuse the bottles over and over!.
I would say safety depends more on where it comes from!. Do research on the bottling company to find out where the water comes from and what they do to it!. You'd be surprised how many labels give the impressions that its "Spring" water but its really just filtered tap water (well, it comes from the same place tap water comes from)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Stick to tap water!. You pay through the nose for it anyway in your water rates, and it is cheaper!.
Some research has shown that certain chemicals can leech into the water from plastic bottles, but glass is heavier and a disaster when it cracks or shatters, so just keep changing the water and invest in a sports drinks bottle!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you worry about all the small things in life or is this a weird paranoia!? You have a chance of dying every time you cross a street, eat a meal, plug in your TV, change a light bulb!.!.!.!.!.I could go on but I won't!. You won't die from drinking from a plastic water bottle and even if you do what can you do about it!? Let's say you buy a glass bottle and drop it on the floor!. You then go to pick up the glass and scrape a piece on the floor against your wrist as you pick a piece up!. You start bleeding to death and call the ambulance!. As the NHS is so bad they take an hour to arrive and you die from loss of blood and shock!. Sounds stupid!? Then again so does death from drinking out of a plastic bottle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think the fear on this one is when you re-use a plastic bottle and keep on refilling it with water from the tap!. I've heard it can get pretty grim with bacteria and therefore the bottle itself becomes unsafe!. However freshly bought plastic bottled water should be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well i haven't met anyone yet who died of water bottle poisoning! Its just if you leave TAP water in a PLASTIC bottle for a long time eg!. more than 2 days, then the levels of carcinogens are meant to be higher - but not actually a significant amount :) xWww@FoodAQ@Com
Glass can be recycled so it's more eco-friendly!Www@FoodAQ@Com
