Individual, independent owned coffee shops!. Why!? Because if everyone supported Starbucks, there would be no other coffee places around!. Diversity is a great thing! Competition among businesses is also good for consumers, since it keeps prices fair, and the businesses will always strive to offer something different, and perhaps better!.
I'm not saying NEVER go to Starbucks, but support your local businesses when you can!. Besides, wouldn't you rather keep your money within your community!? Giant corporations send lots of their money to their headquarters, often NOT in your community!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Support the local businesses!. Anyone can go to a Starbucks and get "cookie-cutter," poor grade coffee!. Local coffee shops have higher quality goods and more delicious coffee!. And they'll get to know you if you frequent the store enough, which means better customer service!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I prefer individual coffee shops that serve fair trade coffee!. It's usually not more expensive than starbucks, and you aren't exploiting people (as much!.) I used to hate the taste of coffee until I realized how subtle and interesting it could be!. You can't get that at starbucks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've always thought Starbucks was on the level of McDonalds coffees!. Bland and watered down!. I liked Seattles Best Coffee, Coffee Attic, and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
