most bathroom cold services is fed from a tank in the loft , and being a plumber could tell you of a few incidents as to why it is not a good idea !! there have been cases of no lids on tanks and where i have found dead birds, pigeons bird droppings ,rats , mice etc !!!! does it still taste good now !!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My guess would be newer pipes or something - maybe you have filtered water in your bathroom my friend does!.
