Why does mineral water have an expiration date?!

Question: Why does mineral water have an expiration date!?
Why does it have an expiration date if it has been running through mountains for thousands of years!? Shouldn't it stay fresh forever!? Thanks!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Everything has a use by or expiration date these days!. It's a precaution to avoid panic and lawsuits with some things - and with other things it's useful for avoiding illnesses due to bacteria, loss of flavor, etc!. In some cases, like with bottled water, it's a silly thing - but if it's sparkling mineral water, it will lose it's fizz!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Running water has no shelf life, but still (non-running) water can eventually get stale!. Although, if you drink water pass the expiration date from a sealed bottle - I think you'll be alright!. More precautionary than anything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mineral water as in Perrier has natural bubbles in it!. If not opened by a certain date it would probably go flat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think because it isnt 100 % water!. Theres minerals in it!. Dont quote me on it but I think minerals can expire!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

coz it isnt really that water from the mountains!.!.!.they probably boil, filter it then market it as mountain water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
