What are the pros and cons of reusing water bottles!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There's all this hoohaa about how reusing plastic bottles could have detrimental health effects!. I really don't know how true this is, but I find the claims sufficiently valid, something about the micro organisms within the plastic staying there and causing health problems!.

Anyhow, I think that the definite plus point about reusing the bottles is that, since plastic is a non-biodegradeable substance [does not break down easily] and produces toxic fumes when burnt, you save the environment from pollution by reusing them and not burning them!.

However, reusing the plastic also provides opportunity for contamination, such as the point mentioned at the beginning!. also, I feel that when the plastic stays in the environment for too long, it starts to wear and change, and even in room temperature can give off [yes, small, but present] amounts of toxins which could affect us badly!.

Hope this answered your question!
