Well what do you prefer, sweet, bland or even 'nutty'!?
If you like it sweet, why not consider to put in caramel syrup in your coffee as a substitute for the sugar as it tastes better that way, with caramel topping on top!.
if you like it bland, well i guess just plainly sugar would do- but the sugars do vary too as you can pick out of white sugar, raw sugar or sweetners with sweetners being the sweetest of them three
if you like nuts though, how about hazelnut syrup!?
or you can mix your coffee with chocolate powder, creamy cocoa etc!. and experiment a bit!. By doing so, you can produce coffees such as mocha's and mocha truffles which are coffee with different type of chocolate in them- but make sure you put in the correct proportion
