Why do people use diet coke with mentos instead of regular coke?!

It has to do with the aspartame in the Diet Coke!. Regular doesn't have it!. Coke will also have an eruption, just not as big!. And we're going for big here, right folks!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Regular coke will do as well as Pepsi, Root Beer and Sprite!.
Any carbonated sodas will do!. From what I understand is:

Because regular coke actually tastes good when you pour it in your mouth!. Diet coke does not, so it has no other purpose!.
