Pepsi is consistently rated as tasting better than coke in blindfolded taste tests!. So a couple of years ago coke decided to change its flavor to be more like Pepsi!. It bought out coke new!. It was a huge flop and the company nearly went bankrupt!.
Why!? Because people liked the taste of coke!. Coke was more than flavor, it was marketing, image and it was uniquely coke!. Changing it to taste "better" and more like pepsi destroyed it, as it was not the flavor people recognized and expected!. It took away coke's uniqueness!.
Anyways, I just thought that was interesting!. And you are right, the cool kidz do all drink coke!. With their stylish frizzy perms and high top sneakers!. Sigh!. When will I be that cool!?
