Can cereal spoil? Or rot?!

an open box of cereal will remain edible for about 2 to 3 months in a dry room!. humid place, on the other hand, spells a shorter shelf life for your favorite box of cereal!.
cereal absorb the moist in the air and then mold will grow on them!.
Buy those come in small boxes, as long as it is not open it should keep well for long time!.
If you can only get those in big box, bring with you a few zip lock bags(just in case any got torn) and some silica gel package(those found in cookie package to help keep cookie dry), open the cereal package pour out the amount you need, fold up to close the opening as immediately then put your leftover cereal into the zip-lock bag with the silica gel package and seal it, this will help to prevent your cereal from turning bad or turn less crispy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It will not spoil as long as you kept the cereal tightly sealed!. The worst that could happen is that the Captain Crunch wouldn't taste quite as crunchy as it supposed to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
