This is a normal reaction!. The brain relates that smell and taste to an unhealthy memory!. The brain is a tricky organ when it comes to things like this!. the only real cure is to over come the phobia and boot the old memories!. You either have to create a new memory of that smell or just never drink tea again!. My recommendation would be just not to drink tea again, it is not that healthy anyways!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Haha, yeah thats normal, when I was 6 my Aunt gave me apple pie and I spewed, I haven't been able to eat apple pie since even thinking about it makes me feel sick, but on the other hand I once drank way to much beer and spewed, then for about three monthes, I couldn't even smell beer and not feel sick then for some reason I could drink beer again, I didnt decide to drink beer I just did!. Maybe if you wait longer you will be able to drink tea again or maybe you wont be able to drink tea ever againWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's normal!. Things like that are traumatizing!. I have a friend that won't eat peaches anymore because that last time she bit into one, there was a worm in it!. I don't like sushi as much as I used to because I got sick and threw it up everywhere!. I try eating it now and I can't go for more than 5 pieces without wanting to throw up!. I really love sushi, my body just turns it down!.
I don't get why your mom is on your case about it!. You should opt out for juice or something!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are not stupid! The memory of that moldy tea is stored in your subconscious mind!. A certified hypnotist can help you erase "moldy tea" from your mind in one session & will teach you how to reinforce that session at home!. Then you'll be able to face (and drink) tea again, if you so choose!. Good luck with Mom and with tea! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

no, we have visual and sensory memories so sometimes if you have something with a bad taste, sight or smell, when you see that object you're automatically taken back to that time!.

i had the same thing happen, my elementary school would serve us half frozen pizza so disgusting it took a decade for me to eat pizza!.

it's not uncommon, hopefully you will eventually be able to overcome it though!. best wishesWww@FoodAQ@Com

yep! It seems to be unanimous! No big deal if you don't want tea anymore!. What's mom got her panties in a bunch about!? It's not like you are missing needed nutrients (although tea does have lots of yummy antioxidants)!.!.!. and not like you switched from tea to alcohol or something!
Tell mom you 'just say no'!.!.!. to tea!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

No not at all!. I have gotten sick offf of ham and cheese and coffee!. I will not eat ham again! Nor will I drink coffee! So no it is not stupid!. You with tea is like me with coffee!. It just takes us back to a time when we had an unpleasant memory of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

when I was a kid one of my friend's mothers served me hamburger helper!.!.I puked like 7 times after eating it!.!.I wouldn't eat hamburger helper for 10 years after!.!.so no it's not abnormal, ask your mom if there's something she hates to eat or drink!.!.I'm sure there isWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'd try!. But I don't blame you for having problems!.!. Was it black tea!? Maybe try green!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

no, don't drink tea!. stay away from it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No not stupid at all!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
