Question: Why does mint flavored stuff make things seem cold!?

Has this happened to anyone else!? If so why dose mint seem to make things colder!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Not only water but taking in air through ur lips also makes it cold!. This is because mint is aromatic, ie contains chemicals that trigger such reactions( due to nitrogenous groups present in the molecules), thyme, eucalyptus, camphor, clove also have similar chemicals and are used as pain relievers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I dont know why it is but I get this feeling right after I brush my teeth with a really minty toothpaste and then have a drink or rinse my mouth, it almost hurts its so cole yet so refreshing all at the same time!Www@FoodAQ@Com
