Does bottled mineral water have any advantages over tap water?!

It might not be that significant but in developing countries where there is scarcity of water the bottled water has obvious advantages!. But yeah here for normal purposes tap water is good enough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

(ANS) The ONLY DIFFERENCE I have been able to detect is a difference is taste sometimes!. Bottled waters do taste slightly different!.
**DON'T BE FOOLED THOUGH!! bottled water in the UK I think is mainly a massive RIP OFF !! We pay through the nose for fancy bottles & fancy designer labels and the companies make MASSIVE profits from us as a result!.
(unless you live in London where the tap water is frankly disgusting, not surprisingly because the water quality is hard)!.
**I have tap water which I have a filter system fitted to (spring flow filter) so I have my own filtered (equivalent too bottled) water on tap 24/7!. The charcoal filters last 6mths and I use x2 filters a year!. Yes it does cost me ￡30 each but thats works out at factions of pence per gallon & thats thousands of gallons per year!.

Ok Bottled water has certain minerals that tap water doesn't have, and bottled water doesn't have chlorine in it!. But studies have shown that people who only drink bottled water have worse dental health than people who drink tap water, Why, because of Flouride, and flouride is good for your teethWww@FoodAQ@Com

I suppose theres advantages, when you go abroad or even when I go down to london or devon I find the water there hard to drink so i buy bottled!. But thats it really!. Tap water is cheap full of fluoride around here and got lots of minerals added in just for us!.!.!.so depends where you are and how used to the water you are!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are regulations when it comes to bottled mineral water!.
Therefore, it should be safe to drink and the quality of water must comply with the standards!. While tap water is often of poor quality due to presence of physical, chemical and biological contaminants!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it is marginally better for you and people say it tastes better!. however the disadvantages to us and our environment greatly outweighs the benefits and makes buying bottled water immoral!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
For me personally, yes!. In the past I have always been able to drink the tap water!. Now I live in an area where the tap water is really hard and undrinkable!. So I have to use bottled water for cooking and drinking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
