Does white ice mean the water is dirty?!

Question: Does white ice mean the water is dirty!?
When you freeze water that is supposed to be filtered and the ice is very white does that mean the water is dirty or that there is just alot of air bubbles in the ice!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Clearly, it's to do with the air in the ice, or cracks in the ice!. Perhaps the speed of freezing has to do with it, as usually the white is in the center!. also note that, when clear ice gets shaved, the ice becomes white like snow!.

My guess is that if impurities are invisible when the water is liquid they will likely be invisible when the water is frozen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the ice is most likely just filled with air bubbles, i wouldnt worry about it!. however, just to be sure, i use filtered water when i make ice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its oxygen (in all water-H2o )that causes the unclear look but its perfectly fine and clean!(same reason that snow is white not clear)Www@FoodAQ@Com

no it means It has chlorine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
