Is bottled green tea the same as regular brewing green tea?!

Question: Is bottled green tea the same as regular brewing green tea!?
Do they have the same good healthy things in it!? Or do you need the actual leaves to get that healthy stuff!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
the correct answer is that it depends!. There are so many green tea varieties out there!. You really should check the ingredients!. Some green tea varieties add lots of sugar and even some other juices as someone else said!.

Some green teas (like Honest T) use freshly brewed green tea and nothing else (unsweetened)!. This is probably your freshest and closest to brewed green tea!.

the bad thing is that you don't know when the bottled varieties were even produced!. It could have been 6 months ago which isn't really that fresh!.

Brewing your own green tea is as fresh as it gets and you can add whatever sweetener you want, or lemon, or whatever!. I love making fresh green tea and serving it over ice with some sugar or stevia!. Plus you get the satisfaction that you brewed it yourself! Save the bottled stuff for convenience!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've heard reports recently that the processing in the bottled tea neutralizes the good effects, so it is much better to brew your own!. I make green tea and add some lemon or lime juice and sweetener and it tastes like the Lipton bottled tea, and is very inexpensive!. If you want to reduce the caffeine, pour boiling water on the green tea, let it set a minute or so and pour it off, and then add more boiling water to brew it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you don't actually need the leaves if the bottled tea is real tea lol!. the 'healthy stuff' is just the antioxidants that are enormously good for you if ingested on a regular basis!. You can get it from bottled tea too; i think they even make a dried mix version of the green tea 'essence', which i heard works well lol!.

BUT whenever you can, you should try to have real brewed tea because for goodness sake it's really easy and much much more fresh! It'll probably taste better because it won't have unnecessary products in it too =)
AND you can experiment, if you brew it yourself!.!.!.you can add a pinch of green tea leaves, some mint, some jasmine, etc!. the possibilities are endless! crysanthemum is VERY good, and so is rosebud (some people don't like it tho, it's kind of an acquired taste)

It's great that you want to include tea into your diet because it is incredibly healthy, and you will enjoy it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are pretty much the same!. Many of the bottled teas add extra juices or what not to make nice varieties!. The only other difference might be the water used!.

I use purified water when I make my tea at home!. I honestly don't know if any of the tea makers do the same or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's pretty much the same, and I have tried both, but I like the bottled green tea a lot better!. they both have all the antioxidants in them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
