Can you re-use coffee grounds for the next pot of coffee?!

Question: Can you re-use coffee grounds for the next pot of coffee!?
I drink iced coffee; 4 cups of brewed coffee mixed with 1/3 cup of non-dairy creamer and 2 cups cold water!. I was going to put the grounds in an air-tight container and store them in the refrigerator to use for tomorrow's pot!.

It seems like a big waste to me to just throw them away!. I don't drink my coffee too strong so I don't think there would be much difference in flavor if I reduce the water in the next pot!.

I tried looking this up and no one ever suggests using the used grounds for food useage!. One website even suggested that it was unsafe!. What do you all think!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I re-use coffee grounds all the time!. I`m drinking some of the product right now!
But I try to mix in some fresh grounds with the old!. Otherwise, I find it gets a stale taste!.
I haven`t heard anything about health concerns, but nothing`s happened to me yet!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can do it if you want but it will taste really weak and watery!. its kind of like reusing tea bags!.!. you have already gotten all the flavor out of them so reusing them you dont get very much flavor!. its just the left over leaf (or in the case coffee ground) that has no flavor anymore!. its not a waste because what you have left is just pretty much tasteless dirt!.!. it has no value or reason to keep it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have known people that just dump new grounds on top of the old ones!. They are still alive to talk about it!. For a while, my boss made the coffee at work and never emptied the grounds til the filter was overflowing - weeks worth of coffee!. We are all still alive!. He doesn't get to make the coffee any more!. You could try it and see what you think of the flavor!. As long as you refrigerate the used grounds it shouldn't make you sick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It will be weaker, of course, but it might be worth a try!.
Like any moist organic material, it holds the potential to harbor bacteria, so just make sure you refridgerate it and it should eliminate any health concerns!.

Another use for coffee grinds is in compost, and can be used directly on some plants!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The coffee will be very weak and possibly bitter!. There is a very good reason grounds are not reused!.
However, coffee grounds are good for soil and if you want to save landfill space, you can spread them in your garden!.

well, try it, and then you'll see it's not such a waste to use new grounds for each pot!.!.!.!.I've done it before out of necessity and it makes horrible and weak coffee the second time around!.!.!.!.the grounds are spent the first time!.!.!.!.!.!.used coffee grounds are an excellent addition to garden compost, though, so I don't see it as a total waste!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i acctually wouldn't!. when you use them once, the water extracts all of the flavor out of them!. so, if you ran them thru the machine again i bet you would probaly just get water with a really light brown tinge!.
ps!.!.!.im gonna try your iced coffee recpie that sounds REALLY good!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i wouldn't do it, but i'm a coffee snob!. i don't drink instant, and i loooove my coffee super strong with a kick!. it's up to you, but you already said it was suggested that it might be unsafe!. drink it at your own riskWww@FoodAQ@Com

You would get very weak coffee!. Why would you do that any way!? If you use used grounds they would be wet when you store them!. That is not a good thing to do!. You could get sick!. Actually thinking about that makes me sick to the stomach!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ick no! They longer coffee sits in water, the more bitter it becomes!. Use those grounds for compost out in the garden, I do and my herbs have never looked better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't; your results will probably be the leftover flavor within the ground beans, which will make coffee-flavored water instead of actual coffee!. If you want enjoyable coffee, just use new grounds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've reused coffee grinds within 8 hours!. Yuck!. Won't do that again, unless I'm out of fresh grinds, need a caffeine fix, and can't get to the store until the next day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could reuse them but it will not be as strong might even taste bitter!. If you have a garden or potted plants you can use the grounds as mulch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no you can cuse all the flavor went with the first one so the teste will be bad
put it in the air not gana help so is useless ok dont try cuse i try before i dint workWww@FoodAQ@Com

you can reuse them,my dad does it all the time,he just puts some new in with itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Of course you can!.!.!.Now the taste will not be as good as the first pot!.!.!.So don't get you hopes up on a great taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I've used them before when I was out of coffee and didn't want to go to the store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes but it get so weak it's like drinking waterd down coffeeWww@FoodAQ@Com

Dump it in the dirt!. It comes from the ground anyways!. It's better than ending up in a landfill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can do it but it will be weaker so i ad i tiny bit of fresh with the old to make it tast better but dont keep reusing that's grouse lolWww@FoodAQ@Com
