I work at Starbucks!. It's going on 2 years And no my store isn't closing!. I've just been wondering about somethings!?
Why do (some) customers feel the need to slurr out their drink order as fast as possible and then get upset when asked to repeat it!?
Do you really think we serve sodapop here!?
Why ask for 8 pumps of white mocha, extra whipped cream!.!.!.and then get upset if we used 2% instead of nonfat!?
Why go through the drive-thru with 8 drink orders and then spend 5 minutes on your cell phone before you roll down your window at the menu!?
If anyone can answer something let us know!.

omg I know what you mean! The latest craze at our store is asking for "a caramel!."

Seriously, that's just beyond not knowing the menu!. I just can't figure out how we've gotten this from MULTIPLE people!.
Then there are the people who want you to remake their drink like 5 times even though you KNOW you made it right the first time and then tell you you have an attitude because you didn't smile manicly enough when you told them to "have a nice day!."
Or the people who get mad at you because a solo espresso is only one ounce!. Like you're lying to them or something!.
Just be glad it's just Starbucks stupidity!. People actually seem to respect you more for working there sometimes oddly enough!. I used to work at Burger King where all the trash in the country comes to assume that you're trash too because you "chose" to work in an entry level job even though all you have is entry level experience!. I had someone order what sounded like "a cup holder with no pickles" one time!. I had to get them to repeat the order two times and then asked them to pull around so I could figure out what they were saying in person, to which they replied: "a cup holder with no pickles!!!!" angrily a few more times before getting fed up because neither of us could understand each other and driving off!.
On the brighter side of customers, think of all the funny ways people pronounce "macchiato!." We have a lady who always sounds like she's drunkenly trying to order a margarita and some guy who orders a "monkey mocha" with all the seriousness in the world!. lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Why is it confusing at Starbucks, and the barristia looks down on you if you order a small, med, or large!.!.!.!.as I still don't know the other words for their sizes!.!.!.!.

I think some people are just rude!.!.!.busy lives stress them out, and they need the caffiene to keep up, maybe!? No good excuses for explicit rudeness, but since you asked, here's my vent:
I think you should give the customer what they want!.!.!.!.if they want non-fat with extra whipped cream, it's your job to serve them what they want! They are paying you to get what they want, not the other way around!.

And, why, oh why, do employees ALWAYS correct me when I order a medium!.!.!.folks, I live in the US, not Italy, France, Germany, etc!. Don't pretend like you're too important to speak English!. If some people feel special ordering their grandes and ventis, fine, but it is SO RUDE to "correct" a customer who wants to say "medium" !!!!

Well, as to the first one, people like to look cool when they order at Starbucks so they say their long and complicated (probably premeditated to sound more technical) order as quickly as possible to sound like a regular!. Ugh, so annoying!. They also usually expect Starbucks employees to be perfect at what they do, which is impossible!. No one's perfect!.

omg that pisses me off! not only do they cut you off, (very rude) but they don't even give you a size or a flavor!.!.!. i got to the point where i just stare at them!.!.!.!. hahaha then they look at me funny!.!.!. and i finally ask what size!.!.!. MAN THAT PISSES ME OFF!
or how about when you make their drink(s) and don't even bother to say thank you!.!.!. haha yes I'm a robot!.!.!.
every 5 minutes the condiment bar needs to be wiped off again!.!.!. i just wiped it off!.!.!. walked back over to the bar and look over there and see sugar ALL OVER THE DAMN SURFACE!
