How Much Coffee for the Perfect Cup from a French Press!

Question: How Much Coffee for the Perfect Cup from a French Press
I just bought a French press and followed the directions of one rounded tablespoon per 4 ounces of water and the coffee was like lacquer thinner -- so strong I couldn't even judge how much less to use for the next pot!.

I'm using regular grind Starbucks French roast and I like a strong cup of coffee!. Can anyone answer before my water boils!? :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com
