Do you drink tea with the vicar!
I keep saying "More tea vicar!?" it is a lovely expression after laughing at getting angry over nothing, but does anyone actually have tea with a vicar these days!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with you hon - it's a great expression! Unfortunately I do not have tea with the vicar - I think he may object to my potty mouthed outbursts (which do occur on occasion!!) so to answer your question!.!.!. NO I don't! (great question tho!) xxxWww@FoodAQ@Com
Actually I did only a couple of weeks ago (except that he is a rector, since I live in a rural benefice)!. He was trying to talk me into returning to the flock after my escape to Rome!.
My Catholic arch-diocese had a vicar, but he caught something and died!. Maybe off a teacup!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm one of those elderly matrons who regularly has tea with the vicar and lunch the last friday of the month, and our vicar is a long haired guitar playing hippy and one of the funniest people I knowWww@FoodAQ@Com
Yes! If you go after services there are these elderly matrons that bake cakes and other goodies for the vicar!. Admitted, apart from the food I doubt you'd have a good time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm American, so I guess that expression would not apply to me!. However, when I saw your question, all I could think of was that great British movie "Keeping Mum"!.
