Why do restaurants add ice to fountain drinks when they are already cold?!

It's just standard practice!. You can always ask for no ice!. Postmix drinks are a thick syrup mixed with gassy water!. They're pretty disgusting without ice and get warm and icky pretty quickly, and a nice icy glass of drink looks more aesthetically pleasing!. It saves them money!. Ice takes up volume in the cup and therefore the restaurant saves on the cost of their beverages!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
