How long does it take for black coffee to go bad?!
I have been in the habit of making a big pot of coffee, then just reheating a cup for a couple days after!. It's because I'm lazy!. It is just black coffee sitting in a pot, no cream or sugar!. I don't ever go more than 3 days without making a fresh pot!. Anyone else do this!? I have never gotten sick or anything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Leaving any food product to set in an open container is asking for trouble!. Bacteria will form without a doubt!. Though microwaving will no doubt kill some of the things living in your coffee, it's no guarantee that it will destroy everything!.
Once it has cooled to room temperature, however, you can simply cover the top of the pot with plastic wrap to seal it and put the entire pot into your fridge!. This will keep it sealed from bacteria and (might) keep it fresher longer!. Or you could pour it from the pot into a pitcher that you can put into the fridge!.
DO NOT put a hot coffee pot into the fridge!. When the hot glass comes in contact with the cold shelf, it can crack or shatter!. The same concept applies to glass cookware that is fresh out of the oven or microwave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If your going to let the coffee sit around for a few days you should really refrigerate it!. I live in Florida and have been without power due to hurricanes and have been forced to drink days old coffee!. By the third day it's pretty bitter and nasty tasting!. Flavored coffee's are a bit more tolerable at three days old!. I guess if you haven't gotten sick and don't mind the bitter taste then just keep doing what your doing!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
if you can handle the taste, then it's fine!. I wouldn't go past 3 days unless you refrigerate it for bacterial concerns!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
