Answers:
If your tea is consistently coming out with a bitter taste, there are a few things that might work to take away at least some of the bitterness!.
Try to heat the water less that you normally do!. If you boil the water, try bringing it to a simmer!.
Use the amount of water recommended by the tea manufacturer!. Tea can taste bitter when it is allowed to steep in to little water!. If you are using the recommended amount, try using a little more!.
If you use a stove, try moving the hot water and its container to a different place while the tea steeps and refrain from adding the tea bags until the water has been heated completely!. Do not continue heating the water with the bags in it!. If you use a microwave, try heating just the water, and steep the bag in the cup after you remove it!.
Many tea brands recommend steeping for a minimum of two minutes and a maximum of five minutes!. Try two or three minutes as a start, as increase the time if the tea isn’t strong enough!. Five minutes is definitely too long, especially for darker teas, so try to stay away from that length of time!.
If all else fails, you might want to try switching brands, as black tea is exceptionally popular right now and a number of brands have several flavors on the market!.

I would use honey in your tea!. That's what works for me!. I also like lemon, but that's a personal preference!.
I started using a sweeter lighter honey (made with wildflowers) from holy food imports for my morning tea, and I find that I'm really enjoying it a lot more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
