Green tea is good for you and drinking a few servings a day is great!. But it still has caffeine in it so we must be careful about that!. Green tea has 30 mg of caffeine per serving, 8 ounces!. The maximum safe level of caffeine we can consume in a day is 300mg!. So 10 cups would the the most we can have in a day!.
Keep in mind too that caffeine also dehydrates us!. So we need to make sure to drink as much water as green tea if you drink more than just a couple of cups a day!. Despite the fact that caffeine is a stimulant if we don't offset the caffeine with water it will dehydrate us and actually make us tired!.
also caffeine can make it hard to sleep!. It is never recommended to have caffeine within 4 hours of going to sleep!.
Caffeine also depletes our bodies of calcium and B vitamins!. so if you drink more than a couple of glasses then you need to make sure you are getting extra calcium and B vitamins too!.
Too much caffeine can cause dehydration, headaches, sleeping problems, musle aches, mental focus problems, kidney problems, heart problems, skin problems, and other organ problems!. You can also get addicted to it if you use too much on a regular basis!.
Don't get me wrong caffeine is a fine stimulant when used in moderation!. Just like anything else too much is no good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
