Because many people in Western society are conditioned from birth into thinking that our tap water is somehow dirty and bottled water, with its size 12 carbon footprint and leaking plastic chemicals is all that's fit to drink!.
It's shocking: I was once in a hotel in Monterrey that had cards in the rooms telling us to reuse our towels and not leave the tap running as we did out teeth (stuff I do anywa) and then at the dinner tables they had bottled water flown from bleeding Norway!
If people only understood how lucky we are to have such clean water in our taps: we don't need to fly water all around the globe like pampered businessmen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
