I think it's worthwhile I collect them over the week and on Sundays enter my coke rewards and Pepsi points!. Finally last week I got enough to get popular mechanics for a year- I think thats worth it!.
Now I certainly wouldn't buy coke FOR the points, but heck, if you drink coke, why not take a free prize for it!?
