Is coconut milk really milk?!
I love to drink coconut milk but it kind of grosses me out to think that it is actually some sort of "milk"!. What do I do!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is called MILK because of it's whitish color that is similar to cows milk!.!.!.!.but that is where the similarity ends!.!.!.!. how can this be a problem and you to think this way!?!.!.!. a coconut is not an animal!.!.!.geez!

Then don't worry - it is NOT a milk!. They just call it that because of the way it looks!. Coconut juice would be more accurate, though it doesn't have to be squeezed or pressed (just broken in to)!. You can poke holes in the "eyes" and drink it right out of the coconut!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's not really milk!.!.!. I've seen them make it when I lived in Hawaii!. What is inside a coconut is coconut juice!. What they do is shave the white part of the coconut and I guess extract the juice from that!. I think they just call it milk because it resembles real milk so much!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
