Why does bottled water contain salt?!
Sure!.!.!.on some bottles it says a "negligible" amount of sodium!. Nevertheless!.!.!.it contains salt!. I can't speak for all brands but the one Coke sells has sodium in it!. It's obvious to me that the company wants a person to still be thirsty after consuming a bottle and buy "more" water or soft drinks to quench his or her thirst!. Sounds deceptive to me!. I don't like to be manipulated by corporations like that!. No more bottled water for me!. Tap water all the way baby!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Perhaps the sodium is from the "minerals" or whatever the heck they put in bottled water these days, but your right in choosing tap, it is better for the environment, and better for your teeth, because of the minerals it contains!. Besides, tap tastes better where i liveWww@FoodAQ@Com
You are most likely right!. Many food and drink companies do intentionally add stuff to their products to make them more addicting and make us come back for more!. This can be the reason behind the sodium in the bottled water!.
Now I also know that sodium can still naturally occur in water from running though and along the earth!. Since it is not considered a contaminate the local water municipals won't remove it from the tap and filters and purifiers won't focus on it either!. So even tap water may have some but it won't be added either unless you buy a water softening system!.
Now at least the bottled water like Desanni from Coke is purified so I do prefer that!. I would recommend getting a home purification system rather than drink your water just as it comes from the tap!. Purification systems are better than basic filters!. I use the highest rated system myself!. Only a distillery gets water cleaner and it is also cheaper per gallon then even a Pur or Britta filter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course it contains salt, because the water has been travelling through the ground and picked up the minerals of the rock or surface it's been travelling on!. They don't add it, generally speaking!.
They do however add things to tap water, flouride for one, which is much worse than salt which our bodies are at least designed to take a little of!.
But good point about the use of energy and chemicals for making the bottles to put the water in and transportation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Good for you!. The manufacturing process utilizes energy plus the nasty plastic bottles not to mention the cost and exhaust from trucking this stuff to your store!. Concerning the added chemicals to this product!. Asani from Coke is distilled water!. They add the chemicals so it will taste like tap water!. Tap water baby!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
