Whenever I drink coffee, I'm more tired. Why?!

Question: Whenever I drink coffee, I'm more tired!. Why!?
Last summer, I used to drink 2-4 cups of coffee a day, and I would fall asleep and be tired faster!. This summer I would sit up to five, but once I drink coffee, I would fall asleep around 3!. Why is this!? I don't think it has any "placebo effect" since I just noticed this recently!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The caffeine in the coffee takes more water to process than the coffee provides!. So it takes extra water from our bodies which dehydrates us!. When we are dehydrated we become tired and lethargic!. If you are already dehydrated then the effect happens much quicker!.

Try it sometime!. If you feel tired drink 2 glasses of water!. If you feel better after 15 minutes you were just dehydrated not tired!. People put themselves into a trap!. They drink too much caffeine and not enough water!. When the caffeine dehydrates them and they become tired they think the answer is more caffeine!. That is the wrong answer!.

In the future also drink a glass of water with the coffee!. It will offset the dehydrating effects and will allow the caffeine to do its job and keep you awake and energized!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have the bounce effect!. Your body is depending on caffeine to boost itself up but then once the effects start to wear off, you crash!. To stop feeling tired after drinking whatever it is you are drinking, you need to cut yourself off!. Dependency on the drink will make it difficult for you to function correctly unless your body has it every day!. also, decaf coffee still has caffeine in it!. It's just been processed so that some of it is taken out and the other part has no effect on you!. Try drinking juice that hasn't been sweetened or more water!. The water will have wonderful effects on you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you putting sugar in it!? Do you drink it on an empty stomach!? These could cause your blood sugar to spike and then you get that crash when the blood sugar drops too low!. Be sure you are drinking coffee after food and do not put sugar in it!. If you need to sweeten it, use a sugar substitute!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

like the person above,, decaf can be one reason !.
or mybe its not strong enough,
say if you drink some type of lattee,,
its the same as drinking warm milk!.
if you want to stay up, you should drink hard(dark) coffee!.
if you canot stand the taste,, add a couple sugars!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

maybe you have ADD!. caffeine sometimes has opposite effects for people with ADD!. you could also have a tolerance which when satisfied could make you relax more in which case you would need even more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
