Is ground coffee too old to have if package has been left open in the cupboard for a couple of months?!

Question: Is ground coffee too old to have if package has been left open in the cupboard for a couple of months!?
It's a Starbucks ground coffee, I had opened the package and just folded it once then left it in the cupboard for a few months and now I want to make coffee, but the label says best if used within a week of opening!. Will it be gross and old!? I don't know why I never put it in the freezer and had thought it was sealed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Beans should be fine!. Remember Starbucks first off wants to sell you more coffee and secondly wants to make sure somebody doesn't drink old coffee and say the Starbucks brand is not good!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Coffee begins to dry out and get stale the moment it is exposed to air!. Particularly if it is ground!. I wouldn't drink it if it were opened for just one day!. Was it in the freezer or the cupboard like you said!?

Coffee should be consumed fresh!. It can also grow mold (which you may not be able to detect)!.

Don't drink it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No the coffee is okay, it may not taste as fresh as when you first bought it but it's still okay!. Keeping the coffee in your fridge will actually keep the flavor sealed longer!. If it's been about 6 months or more, yeah throw it out and grab you a new one!. Fresh coffee is always better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can drink it but it won't be that good IMO!. Storing on the fridge or freezer will actually make the coffee deteriorate faster due to condensation!. It would be best to buy maybe a weeks worth of whole bean coffee at a time and grind fresh every time you brew!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It won't be spoiled or have "gone bad" like food!. It may just taste stale or a little less flavorful!. I would scoop off the top inch and brew up a small batch!. At worst you won't like it and will throw it out!. It won't make you sick!. At best!.!.!.you have coffee, will get your money's worth!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

no, you just may have to use a little more than normal!.!. try it normal and if it is not good, add an extra spoon to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it will be fine !.!.!.!. enjoy :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
