Answers:
No energy drinks do not have more caffeine than coffee!. They have 80mg - 84mg per serving!. Coffee starts at 85mg and up!.

Energy drinks are not designed for kids!. That is all many people know!. So some stores and some tellers will not sell to kids!. However, the makers normally refer to kids 12 and under with those statements!. Teens are OK but I do fell better if parents know myself!.

Ask the teller or store about it!. Some may be doing it on their own and some may be doing it because some parents may have approached them and asked them to not sell to kids!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!. Energy drinks actually tend to have a slight bit less caffeine than coffee, but manufactures tend to try to make up for this by adding "herbal energy blends" and all!.
2!. I'm not from the UK , but depending on the added supplements in the drink, it might require you to be 18!. Kind of like with a lot of more severe stimulants!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
