How long does it take to get used to bad tasting water?!

Question: How long does it take to get used to bad tasting water!?
The water at my college tastes like my fish tank, and I'm wondering if I'll get used to it eventually!. I really can't afford bottled!. I understand I'm being a baby, it just makes me feel sick!.

I accidentally got fish water in my mouth while trying to start a siphon to clean the tank!. Bad idea!.

I have lived in the country, farming my whole life!. I am 38 and i am still not used to the bad tasting, but safe water that we have here!. At wal-mart or wal-greens, they sell the Brita pitcher, a water pitcher with a filter inside that filters the water as you pour it, try one, it may help!. The investment may be worth it, and you can keep it in your dorm fridge to refill water bottles that you can take with you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I suggest you buy bottled spring water!. Don't take chances on the water at the school even running it through a brita filter!.

I have not drank faucet water for 8 years because the water is nasty here, and even filters do not make a difference!. it still taste nasty!.
