Question: Is Milk bad for you !?
I heard that drinking milk isn't very good for you at least a lot of it, it's actually not the best source of calcium you'd be much better off eating raw, fresh, vegetables!. I heard that if you eat a lot of sugar and milk it can cause problems in your liver and joints throughout your entire body and a unhealthy liver means inflammation does not heal as fast!. So my doctor and chiropractor(Oh my gosh I spelt that right-!.-) told me to seriously change my diet!. So what I'm asking is, is Milk bad for you!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, Milk is bad for you!.

The problem is not the milk itself, but the pasteurization process!. There is no real difference between organic and regular milk because both are pasteurized, although I suppose organic is the lesser of two evils!.

You've been told all your life that you need to drink lots of milk to get strong bones, and yet the countries that drink the most milk (America and European countries) have the most osteoporosis and bone fractures per year per person!. Countries that don't consume nearly as much dairy actually have stronger bones, less fractures, and less osteoporosis!.

Milk is also very fattening, full of hormones including BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone), and has very little nutritional value!. Yes, milk has a lot of calcium and protein, the problem is that the pasteurization of milk removes many of the enzymes enabling you to utilize the calcium, and the protein in milk is not easily absorbed by the body!. The pasteurization process produces fat globules that are absorbed directly into the bloodstream and cause high cholesterol and blood pressure!. Milk is also the number one source of food allergy with tons of symptoms!.

As someone who personally consumed milk every day with EVERY meal for the first twenty years of my life, I only recently discovered how terrible milk is for your health!. Since March of 2008 I have stopped consuming all dairy (although recently I occasionally will have pizza or ice cream every few days) and I feel much better overall!.

Again, the problem is not the milk itself, but the pasteurization process!. I have not been able to try it myself, but supposedly raw milk, preferably from cows only consuming grass and not given hormones, is a very healthy and complete food!. It is also much more easily digested than pasteurized milk, because the enzymes that aid in the digestion are left in the milk!. Most people are lactose intolerant, although many don't realize it because they consume so much dairy already!. However, many people who cannot tolerate pasteurized milk have been able to drink raw milk fine and receive its health benefits!.

I was milks biggest fan before I did some research, now I never consume it and I rarely consume other types of dairy such as cheese!. Its actually very easy to avoid cheese if you give it a try; you will find that most cheesy foods don't actually have cheese as an ingredient, its just thrown on top!. I suggest you avoid dairy COMPLETELY for a few weeks and see how you feel!. Your body will thank you!. After you get used to not having ANY dairy and do this for a few months you can try reintroducing it OCCASIONALLY but I wouldn't purchase any directly!. I'm just saying if every once in a while your friends want to go out for ice cream you don't have to be a complete dairy Nazi because it won't kill you, but consuming it daily will definitely cause you problems!.

yes, drinking TOO much milk can kill you!. But also drinking TOO much water can kill you too!. (betcha didn't know that :) I mean you have to drink a LOT of water before it can kill you!. I heard it on the news where a radio company was trying to get pple to drink a lot of water ( it think it was to raise money for something) and this girl did and she actually drank so much she like got water poisoning (thats not the word for it but you get my point)

too much of anything is bad for you!. The serving size on your milk carton says 1 cup of milk will give you 30 % of you calcium for a 2000 calorie diet!. And not enough milk is bad for you because if you don't get enough vitamin d or calcium it will seriously affect your bones when you grow older!. especially women!.

I don't know, it obviously isn't excessively bad!.

But the Diary council is an awfully influential lobby when it comes to nutrition!.

Any time I do any research into studies on nutrition, it's so convoluted and contrived with suppressed studies, corporate sponsors, and just odd survey results that I would question!.

But I have several friends who live without it, and they are moderately functioning human beings, think of it this way, it was meant for baby cows - not humans, so we can obviously get by without it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

uh no milk is realy good for you, you need it to be healthy!. Whoever said it wasn't good calcium is stupid because it is!.But it's only healthy in porportian if you drink nothing but whole milk then it's probably not that great for you!. No, a moderate amount of milk isn't bad for you at all, unless you are lactose intolerant!. A glass or two of milk a day(esp!. skim or soy milk) isn't going to cause you any long term damage like you're describing!. Now, eating a lot of sugar on a daily basis really can cause your body damage over time!.!.!.diabetes, kidney problems, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no it's not bad for you considering how much you drink!. you should have 2-4 glasses of it a day!.the thing is milk has a small amount of sodium and sugar which is why you shouldn't drink too much!. you also have to watch what company's your buying from because some company uses growth hormones on there cows causing sicknesses!. but other than that no its good!. i like milk :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cows milk is for baby calves!! Milk is mucus producing and is a major cause of colds and catarrh conditions!. I avoid milk and milk products!.!.!.except for cultured milk products!.!.!.such as yogurt which are more digestible due to the culturization process!.
