as soon as mentos hits coke i fizzes and rushes up the ottle causing a "coke volcano" thus u will neve be able to get it in a bottle and be able to shake it!.
After many nights of experimenting at student diggs me and my friends developed the best way to deliver mentos into a bottle of coke for maximum height of coke spewing volcano!.
1!. take a packet of mentos and a 3 litre bottle of coke!.
2!. get either a large smarties pack or a test tube(stolen from tech lab tee hee hee) and get a sheet of thin card!.
3!. take the mentos out of the pack, and place into the tube as found in the pack, as many as possible!.
4!. open the coke 3 litre bottle(often budget cola is better as it is fizzier and more caronated which gives best results)!. place the piece of card over the bottle opening!.
5!. place the test tube of mentos on top of card, alining it perfectly with the coke bottle top!.
6!. when u quickly remove the piece of card the mentos should all slide quickly ito the coke bottle, at this point u will want to have moved back as far as possible as it immediaely erupts spewing coke 15 feet into the air!!!!
this is good fun although if u are quick enough u can put one mentos in a botle and screw the cap back o before the coke spews out, this will cause the bottle to burst !.!.much less exciting than an explosion!.!.!.although this is hard to do as u need to be lightening fast to get the lid screwed back on the coke before it fzzez up and spews out!.

First off, you need mentos and diet coke or pepsi!. Peppermint work best, but you can use any of them really!. Then all you have to do is drop a few in, you dont have to shake it, or cap it, because it will pretty much go off as soon as the mentos sit in the pepsi for a few seconds!. if you want to put a few in the cap, and put it on, then run, it may blow up!. It has to be diet Coke actually!.!.!.anyway Get a full role of the mint mentos and put how ever many you want in your Diet Coke then put the lid on fast you will have a few seconds and either drop it and run or throw it I find it better to throw it because it will be spinning wildly so it will fly in some random direction

If you're talking about the little diet coke thing that people like to do, you just get a two-liter diet coke and drop 5 or 6 mentos in it!. But you have to do it fast cause it'll happen as soon as the mentos hit the coke!. And it doesn't explode, it just sprays coke up like a fountain!. And it only lasts for like 1 second!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

k first put the pepsi on the floor open the mentos and put the mentos in (be like 2 feet away from it) then it will explode Dont keep the cap on then there wont be any purpuse of the experement it doest matter if use pepsi or diet pepsi i didt with pepsi n it worked great!.

mentos doesnt explode in pepsi!. it has the same effect than if you shake the bottle very hard!. the pressure of the carbonic acid is not enough to make the bottle explode, but if you smash it on the ground, the lid will pop off and the bottle will fly about 20ft/6m!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
