The same thing that happens to an adult, but because the relative dose will be higher (due to smaller body) then the magnitude of the effects will scale appropriately!.

if they drink too much at an early age, they can develop some health issues and may develop a dependence/tolerance to it!. also, reports have said that it can cause stunted growth, compared to uncaffeinated kids!. They get coffee breath and may stain their teeth if not careful!. Plus, they act like coffee is so cool and get really annoying!. Its like when kids chug energy drinks, only more preppy!. My daughter is 8 years old & will OCCASIONALLY be allowed to drink coffee!. She has a pretty mellow temperament so it doesn't really affect her!. I guess it just depends on the individual child & how hyper they are to begin with!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
