I use caffeinated drinks after races now for that extra energy!. I honestly think that the side effects are mild enough to tolerate, but others may not agree!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They contain large amounts of caffiene as well as taurine; this combination of stimulants is a bomb for the human body!. People have collapsed and died from drinking too much of an energy drink, too quickly!. Mixing it with alcohol makes it just that much more deadly!.

Insomnia and aberrant behaviour have also often been reported!.

I don't know of a single advantage!. Racing heart, irrational behaviour, paranoia and possible death don't sound like fun to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i knew all those boring lessons on caffeine would pay off
in a way they are like the illegal drugs that give you a high when you're depressed and feel even worse after- you get a nice energy boost for a while, but eventually you will feel more tired!. also, because they almost always contain caffeine or gurana, having them too often can cause a low to mild addiction, like tea or coffee!. if you are going to have them before, in between, or after sport matches, that is usually alright (i do that) but it's usually not worth having them for no reason!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are bad for you in the sense that they speed up your heart rate!. They have addictive properties in them!.
