I just bought a cafetiere and was wondering if putting hot milk in with the coffee instead of hot water would work!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can't use the milk with the ground coffee but you can use the cafetiere with just milk (no coffee) heat the milk up then plunge the cafetiere quickly and you'll get a pretty close foamed/steamed milk substitute!. Although there isn't really anything that will compete with a traditional espresso machine for foaming/steaming milk!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, make it as normal with hot water, but when it is ready just add a little bit to your mug, and fill it to the top with hot milk to make a latte!. Use more coffee in the cafetiere if you want it a bit stronger!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. You have to subject the milk to a steady stream of steam to make it froth!. You should not put milk in your coffee press!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
