Why doesnt dr.pepper fizz up when you add mentos?!

Well, we learned about this in my class last year!. There is also an episode of Mythbusters about Diet Coke and Mentos!. The reason Mentos make Diet Coke fizz is because of the bumps on the Mento and because of a certain ingredient they use in Diet Coke!. Only mint Mentos make Diet Coke fizz and it only happens in Diet Coke because its the only soda with the right ingredient and enough of it to make it fizz!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i never tryed it with dr pepper!.
but for my science experiment last year i did a hypothesis on which soda has a larger reaction, diet coke or sprite zero!.
and from what i saw it was actually sprite zero but i dont know if we did anything wrong from it because diet coke should be the bigger recatant since its the most common soda to do that experiment with!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
