Ingredients

* 4 cups milk
* 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate or semisweet chocolate, chopped
* 1 pinch salt
* miniature marshmallow
* whipped cream (optional, but I use it)

Directions

1!. Bring milk, cocoa powder and sugar to simmer in heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat, whisking frequently!.
2!. Add chocolate; whisk until melted and smooth!. (I whisk it gently so there isn't a lot of foam)
3!. Add salt; bring to simmer, whisking constantly until frothy!.
4!. Ladle into 4 mugs!.
5!. Sprinkle with marshmallows or dollop of whipped cream (I use whipped cream most of the time!.)

Makes 4 servings!.

When I just want hot chocolate quickly and easily, I use Rich Chocolate Ovaltine (according to package directions) in warm whole milk or half and half with a dollop of whipped cream!.

My favorite instant cocoa is Swiss Miss!.

Obviously you need a chocolate mix!. What I do is use hot milk!. I put the chocolate powder in the cup!. Add about 3 tablespoons of milk or cream and mix to a smooth paste!. Then when milk is boiled add to the chocolate/milk mix!. Pour in and whisk thoroughly!. Then add more cream or whisk up some cream so it is thick!. add that to the top of the hot chocolate and finish with chocolate swirls!. YumWww@FoodAQ@Com

Hot whole milk or even heavy cream/half and half, very good chocolate!. Heat milk until just before a boil, turn off heat, whisk in finely grated dark chocolate!. Add sugar if necessary for your taste, top with whip cream, you can even add a sprig of fresh mint or a tiny bit of mint extractWww@FoodAQ@Com

I use Godiva Hot Chocolate and I make homemade marshmallows!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
