Question: What is the problem with steeping your tea bag longer than the recommended time!?
Does it just make the tea stronger or does it affect the flavour!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can leave them in a bit longer for a stronger taste but if you leave it in for too long it will become stewed and this will give it a sort of metallic flavour!. But some people (my gran) like it that way!. Its all a question of taste I guessWww@FoodAQ@Com

You can go longer to a point and the tea will continue to get stronger!. However, after a while you reach a point where the tea leaves begin to break down and release a bitter flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

eventually the tea will get bitter, the same thing happens if you squeeze the water out of the tea bag when you take it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually steep mine longer cause I like it stronger!. I drink regular black tea!.!.!.I suppose the herbal tea might not be as good if it steeps longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
