I can taste a small but noticeable difference between moderately priced loose-leaf and most bagged teas, because the chunks are bigger in loose-leaf and that seems to make the flavor rounder, richer and less bitter!. I've never tried the super expensive teas, not being made of money!.

That said, whether it's worth your money really depends!. How sensitive are your taste buds!? How big a part of your budget is $300!? Do you *like* the tea bags you currently use!? What will expensive tea add to your life!?

For me, personally, it's not worth it!. I like bagged tea just fine and I would rather save my money for something that matters a little more to me!. I get a pot made with nice loose-leaf tea when I'm at a cafe or restaurant, just as a treat!.

Unless tea is your "thing" it's probably not worth that much of your money, I'm thinking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It has to do with the processing and the care the company takes to produce the leaves!. Some of your more expensive teas are harvested at the correct times they should be and in smaller batches than the more mass produced tea leaves!. Most of the cheaper teas are mass produced, often in factories where the only concern is whether they can get a cheap product out faster than the rest of them!. The problem by mass producing these teas is that the quality significantly drops because the tea leaves are often harvested too soon, which can lead to the tea leaves drying out and becoming stale by the time they reach your cup of hot water!. A lot of these smaller companies that charge a bit more take a lot better care from the start to the finish of production which obviously reflects in the better quality of the tea!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its more exotc, hard to find, less suply for Yin Zhen (Yin Jeng in my part of the world)!. if you prefer more bang for you buck, i would perfer the dollar tea!. they mass produce the plants and they aren't that sophisticated in taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
