How long will an "open bottle" of soda pop keep its fizz?!
I find it more economical to get a 2 litre bottle, however I rarely drink it all within a day or two!. How long until it goes flat!? (keeping in mind that when not being drunk I have the cap on, and it's in the refrigerator)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am with you, I buy the big bottles as well!. I did try one of those pressure keepers, and it works to some extent!. I got the kind that is a miniature air pump that simply screws on in place of the original cap!. Although it broke within a month after buying it!. While you will never be able to keep an opened bottle as fizzy as it is when you first open it, I have found you can extend the time it takes to go flat!. The actual amount of time any one opened bottle goes flat can only be compared to the actual number of licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop!. It will vary between users!.!.!.!.!.

Depends on the ambient temperature and how tightly you put the cap back on!. The product you saw would work if it tightly sealed the bottle!. Fizz is just carbon dioxide, if it is not allowed to escape the soda keeps its fizz!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I had a bottle which would have been there 2wks tomoro,i finished it off yesterday and it was still really fizzy!.i had only opened it the once,the more you open it the quicker it will lose fizzWww@FoodAQ@Com
if you carry it around about 2 hours, otherwise about 8 hours-ish, but I'm usually ok with the amount of bubbles the next day tooWww@FoodAQ@Com
I like my fizz; it's why I never use ice!. Or plastic bottles!. I think it loses too much with an hour!. I get those little glass bottles when I can find them or cans!. Just catch them on sale ;-) Www@FoodAQ@Com
