Why is a distiller better to have than a regular water filter and where can I purchase one?!

Question: Why is a distiller better to have than a regular water filter and where can I purchase one!?
I have heard that it is better to own a distiller rather than filtering or boiling tap water!. Is it really the most effective at cleaning out the toxins from our drinking water!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Distilling (when done properly) produces pure H2O!.
Filtering, depending on the method/system used can remove up to 99!.99% of the impurities!.
Boiling only kills/destroys any viral or bacterial contaminants!.
Unless you have medical issues that restrict you to distilled (or you're running a home chem-lab for whatever reason,) you're better off with a filter system!. Stills are energy-intensive & can be very dangerous (they've been known to explode)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Distilled water is okay to drink sometimes, but you shouldn't drink it exclusively as it has no minerals in it!. If you want to filter your water (to remove particles) or run it through charcoal (to remove sulfur or other bad odors), that is fine!. You need a pretty fine filter (1 micron or so) to remove Giardia!. Sterilisation by ultraviolet or ozonisation will kill most bacteria and even some viruses!. But if you have dissolved toxins, filtration won't help!. I'm not sure distilling will help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're distilling water for purifying, that's really, really bad!. You're making the water worse than anything I can imagine!. Boiling tap water will kill the impurities, and distilling is much the same!. I'd use a charcoal filter, like a Brita filter (sorry for the brand name)!. that is true, just look it up in the yellow pages!. it is not nearly as expensive as you would thinkWww@FoodAQ@Com
