Metal containiers are good conductors of heat so the liquid turns cool very quickly while the nonmetal containers like paper, plastic etc are bad conductors of heat so they retain heat in them !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can use a candy thermometer!. Put hot water in each and then check back after so many intervals!. I would do it every 5 minutes or so and check the various temperatures and record them!. It's probably good to do it for an extended period of time, let's say 45 mins, just to see what keep the liquid warmer longer!.

Get one of each, pour some hot liquid in them and check them in ten minutes!. It's not rocket science!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
