Why don't Coke and Pepsi bottles have flat bottoms?!

Question: Why don't Coke and Pepsi bottles have flat bottoms!?
It would be much easier if they had flat bottoms instead of the bumpy ones!. It's hard for them to stay standing on the grill levels of my refrigerator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Those bumps are made to facilitate the bottle-processing process!. When they are filled they hook into the conveyor system!. Even flatter water bottles still have grooves in the bottom for the processing!.

Note: Original coke bottles were flat bottoms!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ha, im drinking out of a coke bottle right now! and that would make more sense!Www@FoodAQ@Com
