How much coffee is made from a 1lb bag of beans? ?!

The 'typical' amount of coffee used to make an entire 10-12 cup pot is 2 oz!. so a 1 lb!. bag of beans would make 8 pots!. If you're like Starbucks the amount is closer to 3 oz!. per pot so the first poster that indicated 5 pots would be closer!.
