Answers:
I will answer your 2nd question first!.

Probably distilled is safest because it has been boiled and all foreign matter removed!.

Distilled (as I just described) is water that has been boiled and the steam recaptured via condensation!.
Mineral water is typically spring water from a mineral spring (can be filtered or unfiltered)
Purified water is just filtered tap water
alkaline water just refers to the PH level of the water!. Water can have a PH that is alkaline or acidic or somewhere in the middle!. An practical example of acidic water would be acid rain caused by smokestack industries!. The acid rain falls on lakes in the Adirondack mountains in NY making the lake water somewhat acidic!. To make the water more alkaline, they add crushed limestone to the lake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Distilled water is pure H2O, with no other elements in it!.
Mineral water is water that contains dissolved mineral ions!. It is often used, however, as a name for carbonated water, especially in Europe!.
Alkaline water contains something that is basic, or alkaline (the opposite of acid, a high pH)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For me, there is no significant difference!. They are all water!. Safest to drink is Brandy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
