Answers:
1) I got $8!.00 an hour and after 6 months you get what they call a review, and if you do good then you'll get a raise!.

2) Part time is generally 20-30 hrs/week

3) Sure you can!. There is someone at my store that is in Highschool!. He only works like 4 hour shifts during the day usually from 5-9 on like wednesdays and thursdays, and he works on the weekends!.

4) When you first start off, you're a barista!. Meaning you make drinks, and work on the register!. There is a lot of cleaning involved, like sweeping/mopping the floor, wiping off counters, chairs etc!. Plus if you're on bar, you have to make sure that your area is clean and presentable to customers!.

5) It really depends on how good you are!. This will be my 6th month there, and I'm going to be getting my review pretty soon!. But they generally won't move you up if you're still in highschool!. Because if you're a shift manager!. (one step up from barista) you have to be really responsiable, like counting money, making sure that your shift runs smoothly, and keeping the other baristas that you're working with in check!.

6) You get free drinks when ever you are on the clock and 30 minutes before your shift and 30 minutes after, and when you're off the clock, you get 30% off!. also every week you get a partner markout, meaning that you can take home a 1lb bag of coffee or tea!. If you use your 30% discount it doesn't take money off your paycheck!. I should know, because I use my discount almost every day, at least more than once lol!.

7) Starbucks does offer it's employees health benefits, but you have to work 20 hrs a week, and since you're still in high school, you're probably still covered under your parent's insurance, so you wouldn't have to worry about that!.

8) I love working there, and I'm really glad that I chose to take the job!. Learning all the recipes to the drinks takes a while, it took me almost 3 weeks to learn everything!. When you're training, don't act like you know everything, because you don't!. Just make sure you listen to your training coach, and you'll do just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You normally are paid $7!.50-9!.00/hr depending on where the location is and your experience!. I believe you HAVE to be 18 to work there!. If you want to work part-time they wil give you anywhere from 20-35 hours!. I do know that you receive a discount but I'm not sure how much it is (my suggestion is that you don't even use it b/c it's highly overpriced coffee anyway and there goes your paycheck!)!. One of the benefits of working there is that you split the tip jar and if you work a certain number of part-time hours you qualify for health insurance!. I have had friends who work at Starbucks!. As most of us can tell, it is very busy & you will usually have to be there very early to open, or semi-late to close & clean up!. For all the stress, I suggest you become a waitress!.!.!.unless you're in need of the health insurance that Starbucks offers, because you will make about 2-3x more & you might as well if you're going to be dealing with a million picky people a day!.
