Question: Sometimes caffeine has the opposite effect of what it should, it makes me drowsy!. Ever found that!?
Answers:
Caffeine takes more water to process than caffeinated drinks provide so it takes extra water from your system to process it!. The more caffeine in a drink the more water that is taken from your body!. Coffee and energy drinks take the most!. This extra water taken from us dehydrates us!. When we are dehydrated we become tired!. If you were dehydrated before you consumed the caffeine then you will fill it even more!. How much more depends on if you were slightly dehydrated or more dehydrated!.

The best thing to do is to drink water with any drink that has caffeine!. Besides preventing dehydration water is also a natural energizer!. Green tea and many sodas you should drink 1 extra glass of water!. Coffee and energy drinks you will need to drink 2 glasses of water!. Ones in the middle like regular (black/red) tea, or Mountain Dew may or may not need 2 glasses of water to go with them to prevent this!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
