Just rinse it in hot water - the longer you use it the darker they get and coffee actually starts to taste better because of the coffee patina!Www@FoodAQ@Com
As you found out, Aluminum can react with the chemicals in the dishwasher detergent!. Those type of items are usually labeled for "Hand Wash Only"!.
