I need help about how to make a good coffee?!
i just bought an old-style stainless steel coffee percolator, now before you tell me that a percolator is the WORST way of making coffee, which i'm aware about, lol!. i need to know how to correctly use it, it's the one that is a full steel pitcher that goes in the stove, and the coffee splashes in the lid!. i don't know when should i remove it from the heat, because i've heard you can't let coffee to boil!. maybe you remember how your grandma used to make it!. hehe thanks bye!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try this!. Fill the basket half way with coffee!. Just put your finger on the hole so none gets inside!. Once the coffee starts to perk, lower the heat as low as you can and it still perks!. Usually about 5 mins is good, but you have to play with it to get it the way you like!. Hey, percolator coffee is way better than automatic coffee makers because the water is hotter and you get better use out of your coffee!. The only thing better is a french press!. Otherwise!.!.!.!.you are in good shape with the perk!. Note that the water must boil first but lower it quickly!. Reheat on low or in the micro by the cupful!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Pyrex makes a glass percolator which you can see the coffee get dark and you can better judge when it's ready!. GOOD LUCK!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
